I kind of want to find one of these trucks with the inline 6 and a manual.

When pickups were simple and honest.....she’s a beauty! This is my favorite Ford generation.

There was an f150 for sale in exactly that configuration at the local harbor freight a few months ago.
Only asking $1150 for it too. If I didn’t already have a truck, I’d have waited for the driver to return, and bought it on the spot.

Thanks! I get a kick every time I drive it. Cloth bench seat, manual windows and locks, and it handles like a small naval vessel. What a massively different experience from driving anything made in the past 10 years!

This is the perfect configuration.

My only issue with it upon further research is that the F-150s had the Mazda M5OD-R2, which uses an internal clutch slave cylinder; so if the slave cyl fails, you have to drop the transmission to replace it.
Otherwise, yeah, bulletproof setup.
